Folks, with the recent weather, excessive rains
compounded with extremely high winds, this is a
good time to have your roof inspected. Missing shingles
lead to water leaks that create unnecessary repair
cost. Many times missing shingles can be replaced.

Place hose bib covers on all of your outside hose
bibs in the winter to help protect your pipes from
freezing. Drain and store garden hoses to prevent
them from cracking due to freezing.

Check your central air/heat filter once a month.
If it looks dirty, even lightly coated with dust,
change it. A dirty filter slows down air flow, makes
the unit work harder and can even cause damage to
the unit if neglected.

Keep wood products such as firewood, cardboard and
untreated lumber away from the foundation your home.
They can attract termites which can lead to major
home damage.
